My intentions with this short, audio-narrative driven game were to emulate the exhausting and somewhat uneasy interactions women frequently have when cornered by men in public spaces. An unfamiliar man sits down across from the player who was, until then, minding their own business, and he begins a one-sided conversation with them. The player is stuck, only able to look around and partake in this unpleasant and condescending conversation until he decides to leave, just as women are often trapped in social settings for fear of how an unfamiliar man may react to their dismissal or rejection of him.
Coffee Simulator was made in Unity as part of my coursework for an introductory game studio course. The models were made in SketchUp, with the exception of the man, who I designed in Blender.
